Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and what happens to it. Interpreting requests often carry legal and medical details, so this matters more here than on most websites.

What we collect

When you send a message or an interpreter request through this website we receive what you type into it: your name, your email address, and whatever you tell us about the appointment or enquiry. We do not ask for more than we need to answer you.

The website also records ordinary technical information such as pages visited and approximate location, which is used to understand how the site is being used and nothing else.

Interpreting requests specifically

A request often describes a legal matter, a medical appointment, an immigration process or a family situation. That information is used to staff and prepare for the appointment and for no other purpose. It is not shared with anyone outside Global Linguistic Services, it is not used for marketing, and it is not sold.

Everything said during an appointment is confidential and is not repeated outside it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and booking records are kept only as long as there is a business reason to keep them. If you would like something deleted, email us and we will delete it.

Who else sees it

The website is hosted and its forms are processed by service providers acting on our behalf. They may only process the information in order to run the website and cannot use it for their own purposes.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.

Your rights in California

California residents may ask what personal information we hold about them, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for it to be deleted. Email us and we will handle the request. We will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here. Questions about any of it can go to info@GlobalLinguistic.org.
