Arabic to English interpreting ترجمة
Arabic and English,
in the Same Room.
In-person interpreting for meetings, government proceedings and appointments across Orange County, California. One interpreter, in the room, carrying what is actually said.
In person — not a phone line One to one — and small groups Orange County — and just outside it
What we do لغة
Someone Has to Be
Standing in Between
An interpreter is not a dictionary with legs. In a real appointment people interrupt each other, change their minds mid-sentence, use a word that means one thing in Cairo and another in Amman, and say the important part last.
Carrying that across, live, in both directions, without flattening it into a summary, is the job. It is why it is done in person and why it is done by a person.
Interpreting is spoken and live. Translation is written and delivered as a document. The two are different jobs. What happens in your meeting is interpreting — and it is what we do.

Settings غرفة
Where This Work
Actually Happens
Almost never on a stage. Nearly always at a table, in an office, or in a room with a door that closes.
Government meetings
Agency appointments, benefits and housing interviews, school district meetings, city and county offices. The settings where being understood exactly is the whole point.
Legal
Attorney consultations, depositions, mediations and immigration appointments. Nothing is summarised and nothing is softened.
Medical
Doctor visits, specialist consultations, intake and discharge. The interpreter carries what was said, including the parts that are hard to hear.
Business
Negotiations, site visits, supplier meetings and contract discussions where a phone line will not do.
Community and family
Parent-teacher meetings, tenancy and utility appointments, and the ordinary business of life in a second language.
Wherever two people are stuck
If the meeting matters and the language is in the way, ask. If it is not something we can do well, we will say so.
The through-line بين
Why One Organization
Does All Three
Interpreting is not the only thing we do, and the connection is not a stretch.
An interpreter stands between two people who cannot reach each other and carries meaning across. That is also what happens when a stray becomes somebody’s dog, and when a veteran who has stopped explaining himself finds an animal easier to be around than a person.
Language, animals, and coming home. Different work, same job: getting between.
Three programs, one roof معاً
Three Programs
One is running. Two are being built, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
Language
Arabic and English interpreting, in person, across Orange County. Meetings, government proceedings, legal and medical appointments.
The Sanctuary
A permanent home for rescued animals, where the ones nobody else takes get to stay. It does not exist yet. Here is the plan and where it stands.
Veterans
An open door at the sanctuary for veterans: time with the animals, work to do if you want it, and a route in for anyone chasing hours.
